He visto este Jaguar Trivia en otra página de Jaguar y me ha parecido interesante publicarlo.

Las respuestas correctas no las tengo todas, pero si algunas, aunque estoy seguro que entre todos lo completamos.

El que acierte todas las preguntas a la primera, lo nombramos enciclopedia Jaguar ilustrada del foro.

En vista de que no se animan a poner respuestas, a continuación transcribo las respuestas que han publicado como correctas en el mismo foro donde estaba incialmente el Jaguar Trivia.

1. The Coupe designer was an American on Malcom Sayer's design team. There was NO closed car on the drawing board until Bob set out to see what the open car would look like with a roof, he did this in the experimental department in his own time.

2. Sir William had many favourites but the Ser1. E Type Coupe in
Willow green was believed to be his first choice.

3. Bentley released their new model the Mk6 and Sir William didnâ?Tt
want to confuse the market with 2 brands with the same name.

4. The \"XJ\" designation came first in the form of the twin O/Head cam 4 cylinder engine, this was cancelled from production at the very last moment, favouring the XK twin O/Head 6 engine instead, which was released in the guise of the XK 120 in 1948.

5. The MK 10 3.8 Jaguar passenger saloon was the largest / heaviest Jaguar ever made (to date).

6. Dunlop Aqua-Jet safety tyres, were developed specifically for the E Type.

7. Abbey Panels used re-enforced Concrete dies, which proved
Reasonably durable and cost effective in the early stages of production, this method was replaced with more conventional materials due to the

William demanded to know what he was doing? Bob said he wanted to see
what the car would look like with a roof? Sir William had a keen eye,
and viewed the car from several angles and then announced that they
would build the car (just like that!) and so the fixed head Coupe
became a reality!

12. TRUE, the E Type was designed and built from the ground up as a
left hand drive car, and was hastily retro fitted RHD to accommodate
the domestic market due to it's outstanding success.

13. TRUE, the 420 Compact was designed to have the NEW V12 power
plant but due to production delays with the engine, it never made the poduction line.
Try to view a 420 Compact engine bay, look at the much enlarged engine bay space, and the unusual pressings left and right inner guard to accommodate the V12 air cleaners.
